Window Washing
Streak-free glass, inside and out — salt film gone.
Nova Scotia glass carries a film you can't see until it's gone: winter salt haze, June pollen, and the mineral dust coastal wind delivers year-round. Professional window washing removes all of it — inside and out — with screens cleaned, tracks vacuumed, and sills wiped, not just the panes streaked around.
The result is the cheapest daylight upgrade your building can get: rooms that photograph better, storefronts that stop looking closed, and a view of the harbour that finally matches the postcard. Pure-water systems for exteriors mean a mineral-free, spot-free finish that holds for months.

Salt haze, pollen season, and the case for twice a year
Exterior glass in Halifax takes three separate coatings a year: winter road-salt haze that dries as a faint mineral film, June's pollen blanket that sticks to anything damp, and the general coastal dust that wind delivers from the Atlantic side of every building. Interior glass collects its own film — cooking oils, candle soot, and the humidity-driven haze our winters leave on cold panes. Most people haven't seen their windows truly clean in years — they've seen them acceptable.
Technique matters twice as much here: hard water in much of HRM leaves mineral spots if glass is washed and left to air-dry, so the trade standard is squeegee finish inside, and pure-water (deionized) systems outside — no minerals, no spots, no residue. That's also how upper floors get done safely from the ground: a pole system beats a ladder on a windy Halifax day every time.
The natural rhythm here is a spring wash (salt film off, before pollen) and a fall wash (pollen and summer dust off, before the damp). Storefront glass on a monthly route is a different animal — clean glass sells what's behind it, and it's the least expensive storefront upgrade there is.

How we work
Season runs April through November: the spring wash removes winter salt film ahead of pollen season, and the fall wash clears the summer's accumulation before damp weather returns. Storefront routes run year-round.
Common questions
How often should windows be cleaned in Nova Scotia?
Twice a year is the honest answer for most homes: spring (salt film) and fall (pollen and dust). Coastal properties facing open wind, and homes near construction or main roads, often go seasonal. Storefronts and commercial glass: monthly keeps the "open" look alive.
Do you clean the tracks and sills too?
Yes — it's the part of the job that separates window washing from window smearing. Tracks are vacuumed and wiped, sills cleaned, and screens washed before they go back. That's where the winter grime actually accumulates.
What is a pure-water system?
Water run through deionizing filters until it has zero dissolved minerals — which means it dries with zero spotting. It lets us clean upper-floor exteriors from the ground with a pole system, which is safer on windy days and faster on most homes. Inside, we finish with a squeegee: the streak-free classic.
Can you do second-story and hard-to-reach windows?
Almost always — pole systems reach most third-story exteriors from the ground, and where a ladder is genuinely needed we bring the right one and the training to use it. Skylights and solariums are quoted on sight so there are no surprises.
Can you combine window washing with other services?
That's the sweet spot: window washing + gutter cleaning in one fall visit, or windows + pressure washing as a spring reset. One crew, one visit, one invoice — and the bundle pricing beats booking them separately.
